By the end of 2010, China’s environmental protection industry’s annual industrial output is expected to reach 880 billion yuan ($110 billion), including 660 billion yuan ($82 billion) from comprehensive use of natural resources, 120 billion yuan ($15 billion) from environmental protection equipment, and 100 billion yuan ($12 billion) from environmental services.

China will focus the investment on water and air quality, solid waste, ecological systems and nuclear safety. About 55% of the investment in combatting environmental pollution will come from private investors.
