Hong Kong bacteria ‘too much for Batman’

High levels of water pollution in Hong Kong have forced the axing of an action shot in the new Batman film, the Guardian reported on Monday.
The Dark Knight, a sequel to the 2005 movie Batman Begins, is filming in Hong Kong in and around Victoria Harbour. But a scene where Batman, played by actor Christian Bale, jumps out of an aeroplane into the sea was scrapped after the water was found to contain high levels of "life-threatening bacteria", the report said.
Hong Kong has one of the worst marine environments in the world, the report quoted Bill Ballantine, a marine biologist, as saying.
