UK prime minister urges US to accept carbon limits

The US should accept binding targets to curb its carbon emissions, the UK prime minister said on Monday, as he insisted that global warming can be limited to 2 degrees Celsius.

It came ahead of a key week of talks in Washington and at the United Nations on developing a new international treaty to succeed the Kyoto Protocol in 2012.
