Drought-stricken China looks to sea water

China plans to build a huge sea water desalination plant south of Shanghai, as the country suffers widespread drought and water pollution, state media said on Wednesday.
The desalination plant, to be built in east China’s Zhejiang province, awaits final approval from the National Development and Reform Commission, reports said. It would be the country’s biggest in terms of processing capacity.
