About

Established in 1969 with primary interest in hardwood development. Korindo began oil palm plantation development in 1995 and tit is now the biggest palm oil company operating in Papua, Indonesia. It operates oil palm plantations and processing mills, but has made it clear that it plans to enter the refinery business. In recent years, the group has faced increased controversy over land disputes, poor plantation management practices and fire hotspots within their concessions.
