Yellow river begins recovery

Chinese state media reports today that no sections of the Yellow River have run dry for the past seven years.
Li Guoying, head of the Yellow River commission in the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources, said that new regulations offered legal support for better protection of the river, adding that administrative, engineering, technical and economic measures would also be adopted.

The Yellow River is the second longest river in China, after the Yangtze.
