Air pollution tops Beijing residents’ environmental woes

Almost 70% of Beijing residents feel affected by environmental pollution, with air pollution seen as the biggest problem, Chinese state media reported a survey as saying on Friday.

Nearly 60% of Beijingers "felt happy to live in the city" last year, the report added, but 67.2% felt the effects of pollution.

The report, which was conducted by the Capital University of Economics and Business, found car emissions were regarded as the major source of the city’s air pollution.
